Admission Procedure :

  • Prospectus can be obtained from the college for a sum of Rs. 300 or a Demand Draft (DD) of the same amount drawn in favors of Index Nursing College. Postal charges are Rs 50 additional.
  • Selected of the candidates will be based on the merit of the entrance examination and personal interview held by the institution.
  • List of selected candidates will be displayed on the notice board of the college, on the next day of the last interview.
  • The college and hostel rules and regulation would be explained to the selected candidates and their parents/guardians.

 
M.Sc. Nursing Programme :

  • Eligibility Criteria
    • Maximum age for admission will be 50 years
    • Candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife of equivalent with any state Nursing Registration Council.
    • The Minimum Education Requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc. Nursing /B.Sc. Hons.
    • Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
    • The candidates should have undergone in B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing /Post Basic B.Sc.Nursing in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing council.
    • Minimum one year of work experience after B. Sc Nursing in clinical area/college or school of Nursing /community Field
    • Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing in clinical area/college or school of Nursing/comm. Field
  • The required documents are to be attached in the following order:-
    • Application form and self addressed stamped envelope size 23 x 10 cm.
    • Attested copy of Senior Secondary Certificate (10 + 2) or equivalent examination mark sheet.
    • Attested copy of B. Sc. Nursing Examination mark sheet and degree certificate.
    • Passport size attested photographs (10) Registration Certificate from state Nurses Council 10 Certificate/Birth Certificate.
    • Domicile certificate and cast certificate.
    • Income certificate (if aplicable)
    • T.C. from the institution last attended (Original)
    • Migration certificate (Original)
    • Identification Adhar card and Pan Card
    • Medical Fitness Certificate from Medical Practitioner.
  • Seats 25:- 5 in each subjects specialty i.e. Psychiatry Nursing, Obstetrics Nursing, Pediatric Nursing and Community Health Nursing. Medical Surgical Nursing.
    • Conduct Certificate from the institution Last Offended.
    • Professional Experience Certificate
    • Medical Fitness Certificate from a registered Medical Officer l Transfer Certificate
    • One Copy of Duly attested Passports Size Photograph

 
B.Sc. Nursing Programme :

  • Eligibility Criteria
    • The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.
    • Minimum education:10+2 class passed with Science (PCB) & English Core/English Elective with aggregate of 45% marks from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board.
    • Student shall be medically fit.
    • Students appearing in 10+2 examination in Science conducted by National Institute of Open School With 45% marks.
    • 5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates may be given.(according to INC).
    • Candidates with foreign qualifications will have to obtain the equivalence certificate from Association of Indian universities , New Delhi , who will have equivalent qualifications as equivalent to the 10+2 of India.
    • Student shall be admitted once in a year.
  • The required documents are to be attached in the following order:-
    • Application form and self addressed stamped envelope size 23 x 10 cm.
    • Attested copy of S.S.L.C. (10th) Examination mark sheet.
    • Attested copy of Senior Secondary Certificate (10 + 2) or equivalent examination mark sheet. In case result is not declared, the mark sheet has to be produced at the time of interview.

Post Basis B.Sc. Nursing :

  • Eligibility Criteria
    • The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any state Nursing Registration Council.
    • Minimum no age limit and maximum age limit 50 years
    • The minimum education requirements shall be the passing of G.N.M. with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
    • The candidate should have undergone in G.N.M. program in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
    • Minimum one year of work experience after G.N.M.
    • Candidate shall be medically fit.
    • 5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates may be given.
  • Entrance / Selection test
    • Selection of the candidates will be based on the merit of the entrance examination and personal Interview held by the institution.
    • The required documents are to be attached in the following order:-
      • Application form and self addressed stamped envelope size 23 x 10 cm.
      • Attested copy of S.S.L.C. (10th) Examination mark sheet.

GNM Programme :

  • Eligibility Criteria
    • Minimum no age limit and maximum age limit 50 years
    • Minimum educational 10+2 class passed or its equipvalent preferably with science (physics chemistry and Biology) objects with aggregate of 40% marks.
    • Those who have cleared 10+2 class vocation ANM course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
    • ANM training i.e.10+1 year training should also have passed +2 or its equivalent examination.
    • 5% relaxation is permitted to SC/ST student.
    • Student shall be medically fit.
  • The required documents are to be attached in the following order:-
    • Application form and self addressed stamped envelope size 23 x 10 cm.
    • Attested copy of S.S.L.C. (10th) Examination mark sheet.
    • Attested copy of Senior Secondary Certificate (10 + 2) or equivalent examination mark sheet. In case result is not declared, the mark sheet has to be produced at the time of interview.

ANM Programme :

  • Eligibility Criteria
    • The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought
    • The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.
    • The minimum educational requirements shall be 10 + 2 in Arts (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology,Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, and Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Science or Health care Science -Vocational stream ONLY passing out from recognized Board.
    • Student shall be medically fit.
    • Students qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science examination conducted by National Institute of Open School.
    • Student shall be admitted once in a year.
  • Career Opportunities in Nursing :
    • After the completion of above mentioned course, the nursing candidate may choose to work as staff nurse in the respective fields:-
