Index Nursing College, Constitunt Unit Malwanchal University organized a International Nurses day celebration “nurses make a difference anytime anywhere always” on 12th May 2023 and the Chief Guest was Dr. Swati Prasant, Medical Superintendent, Index Hospital & Research center. The program was organized by Prof. Berlin Sara Thampy & Nursing department, Index Medical College and Research Center under the guidance and motivation of Dr. (Prof.) Smriti G. Solomon, Principal of Index Nursing College. The day is commemorated to acknowledge the sacrifices and invaluable contributions that nurses deliver to society by taking care of the sick and weak until they are well again. Nurses are also celebrated for their dedication to medical health and service. This year we have celebrated in the Hospital 4th floor seminar hall. The students of B.Sc Nursing 4th year & GNM 3rd Year students with All teaching and Nursing Staff of the Hospital.The Chief Guest of the program was Dr. Swati Prashant, Medical Superintendent, Index Medical College Hospital and Research Center. The chief guest stated that “Today nursing has evolved into a profession with wealth of skills and professional knowledge. Nurses are the largest group of health professionals, who are the closest and often the only available health workers to the public.” We have started the Programme at 2:00 pm till 4:00pm ended. In that the starting of the Programme were done by the anchoring done by Nursing Tutor Miss Neha Chouhan at 02:00 pm then we have Proceed towards welcoming of guest of the Programme Dr. Swati Prasant Medical Superintendent welcome is done by Dr. Smirti G Solomon, Principal Index Nursing College. This year, the theme for Nurses Day is “NURSES MAKE A DIFFERENCE ANYTIME ANYWHERE ALWAYS.” Florence Nightingale, the British nurse and social reformer who dedicated her life to the improvement of the health sector. The best staff award was given to Mrs. Leena Pathak, Mr. Rajesh Jamra and Mrs. Aruna Pathak. Poster Competitions were organized on the theme of the year and the first prize was given to Ms. Harshita Kural and 2nd prize was given to Ms. Nikita Solanki.
Index Nursing College affiliated to Malwanchal University organized a hands-on training program on Basic Life Support from 11th April to 13th April 2023 with the blessings of Mr Suresh Singh Bhadoriya , Chairman Index and Amaltas Group of institutions. The training was conducted under the guidance of Dr (Prof) Smriti G Solomon, Principal, Index Nursing College. The program was organized for three days and the timings were from 9.00am to 4.00pm each day. At 9.00am, on first day program was started with inaugural ceremony. The Chief Guest was Dr Ravindra Verma, Director Institute of Emergency Medical Sciences Society and Special Guests Dr G S Patel, Dean Index Medical College and Hospital and Research Center, Dr Jyoti Ghosaliya NABH Coordinator with Mr Aslam Khan Nursing Director Index Medical College Hospital and Research Centre. The inaugural session was started with lighting the lamp by guests and Principal. After lamp lighting, welcome speech was delivered by Mr Ankush Patrick, Professor Dept of Medical Surgical Nursing. From 10.00am pretest was taken followed by a break of 15 minutes. The educative session was given by Dr Ravindra Verma. He showed to students some videos and started with theoretical explanation and demonstration. After completion of theory and demonstration Dr Ravindra Verma invite a group of 10 students to perform solo CPR on dummies. The session was over at 1.00pm for lunch. Post lunch session was started by Dr Ravindra Verma explain about the techniques of giving CPR in groups. After theoretical explanation he invite students to perform group CPR on dummies. The session was over for the first day after practice of all the students at 4.00pm. On 12th April session was started at 10.30am with pretest. The educative session was given by Dr Ravindra Verma. Dr Ravindra Verma , Dr Smriti G Solomon, Dr Jyoti, Dr Reena Thakur and Mrs Berlin S Thampy was present for valedictory session. The certificates of the training was distributed to students by guests. The program was ended after vote of thanks.
The lamp lighting ceremony of 16th batch of B.Sc Nursing and 12th batch of GNM Students of Index Nursing College was held on 8th April 2023 at Index Medical College Auditorium at from 2:00pm under the guidance of Dr.(Prof.) Smriti G Solomon, Principal, Index Nursing College. The lamp lighting is an auspicious occasion in which formally recognizes the students entry into the nursing profession. Light is a symbol of knowledge and it removes darkness. The chief guest of the occasion was Mr. Mayankraj Singh Bhadoria, Vice Chairman, Index & Amaltas Group of Institution. Lamp lighting ceremony was started with procession of students which was followed by saraswati vandana and deep prajwalan by dignitaries. It was followed by welcome speech & floral welcome of dignitaries. This was followed by principal report was presented by Dr.(Prof.) Smriti G Solomon, Principal, Index Nursing. Significance of Lamp Lighting and Oath taking ceremony was addressed on followed by Prof. Berlin Sara Thampy, HOD,Child Health Nursing Department. This was followed by lamp lighting ceremony by principal madam and faculties. Oath was recited by Dr.(Prof.) Smriti G Solomon, Principal, Index Nursing. Dedication song was sung by the students after the oath. This was followed by the motivational speech of Chief Guest, Mr. Mayankraj Singh Bhadoria. The speech was followed by prize distribution of students for achievements in academic, Cultural & Sports and was addressed by Dr. Anu V Kumar, HOD, Dept of OBG Nursing which was followed by presention of Momento to Chief Guest. Vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Ankush Patrick Dept. of Medical Surgical Nursing. Master of ceremony done by Dr. Reena Thakur, HOD, Dept. of Medical Surgical Nursing and Dr. Th.
