Inaugural Ceremony of Induction Programme (Shishyopanayan Sanskar) – BAMS Batch 2025–26

The Index Ayurvedic College, Hospital and Research Centre solemnly organized the Inaugural Ceremony of the Induction Programme (Shishyopanayan Sanskar) for newly admitted BAMS students on 12 December 2025 at the college campus. The programme was conducted under the able leadership and visionary guidance of the Hon’ble Chairman, Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria Ji, whose continuous support and commitment have been instrumental in the institution’s growth in the fields of Ayurvedic education, healthcare, and research. The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest, Hon’ble National Organising Secretary, Arogya Bharati, Shri Ashok Kumar Varshney Ji, along with distinguished Special Guests, MLA Indore-2 Shri Ramesh Mendola Ji and BJP Nagar Adhyaksh Indore Shri Sumit Mishra Ji. Their presence added dignity and inspiration to the occasion. The programme commenced with a traditional welcome, followed by a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony marking the formal inauguration of the Ayurvedic college and hospital. The dignitaries were thereafter given a guided tour of the campus, highlighting the academic infrastructure, hospital facilities, Panchkarma therapies, and patient care services.

In alignment with the institution’s commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, a plantation ceremony was organized within the campus premises. This was followed by the auspicious Dhanwantari Pujan, invoking the blessings of Lord Dhanwantari, the divine authority of Ayurveda and healing. Subsequently, the Chief Guest and Special Guests were felicitated with traditional honours as a mark of respect and gratitude. The Principal, Respected Dr. Prajakta Tomar Mam, addressed the gathering and extended a warm welcome to the newly admitted students. In her address, she emphasized the importance of discipline, integrity, and dedication in academic life, highlighted the relevance of Ayurveda in contemporary healthcare systems, and encouraged students to evolve into competent, ethical, and compassionate Vaidyas.

The Guest Address by Shri Ashok Kumar Varshney Ji was insightful and motivating, as he shared his perspectives on education, character building, social responsibility, and service to society through the medical profession. Shri Ramesh Mendola Ji and Shri Sumit Mishra Ji also shared their valuable thoughts on the growing significance and future scope of Ayurveda. The Uparna Ceremony symbolized the formal induction of students into the revered guru–shishya tradition, reflecting the true essence of the Shishyopanayan Sanskar. Cultural performances by students added a graceful cultural dimension to the event. The programme concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks by Dr. Sunaina Chouhan, marking a meaningful and inspiring beginning for the first batch of BAMS students (2025–26) and reaffirming the institution’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, cultural heritage, and holistic development.
