In a significant achievement, Index Group of Institutions proudly announces that Index Ayurvedic College has received official approval to commence admissions for 100 seats in the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) program. Comprehensive Facilities for Students
Principal Dr. Prajakta Tomar stated that the approval has been granted under the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), Gazette 2024. Students will have access to a dedicated Panchakarma department, advanced laboratories, a medicinal garden, and modern hostel facilities—ensuring both academic excellence and practical training for future Ayurvedic professionals.

Index Ayurvedic College Hospital & Research Centre , Malwanchal University, celebrated National Ayurveda Day with a grand ceremony that highlighted the relevance of Ayurveda as a holistic lifestyle and a comprehensive healthcare system. The event was organized in support of the Government of Madhya Pradesh’s vision of developing the state as an Ayurveda hub and promoting India’s ancient knowledge as a preventive, scientific, and wellness-oriented approach to health. The program featured an Ayurveda exhibition and interactive workshops, where experts shared insights on Panchakarma, Yoga, Aahar-Vihar (diet and lifestyle), and the significance of medicinal plants. Speakers emphasized that Ayurveda is not merely a system of treatment but a complete philosophy of living in balance with nature, contributing to physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
In her address, Dr. Prajakta Tomar, Principal of Index Ayurvedic College Hospital & Research Centre, explained that Ayurveda provides guidance not only in the treatment of diseases but also in sustaining a healthy and balanced life. She encouraged students to uphold this legacy through research, innovation, and global dissemination. Dr. Preeti Salve, Head of Department, informed that the Government of India has officially declared September 23 as National Ayurveda Day, marking a shift from the earlier tradition of celebrating it on Dhanteras. She emphasized that this day is dedicated to recognizing Ayurveda as a scientific and evidence-based system of medicine, vital for preventive healthcare and community wellness.
The event was graced by eminent dignitaries of Malwanchal University and the Index Group of Institutions.
