THE XXX MP STATE SNA BIENNIAL CONFERENCE EMPOWERING NURSING STUDENT:PROSPECTS AND CHALLENGES

05th to 07th October, 2023

The XXX MP State SNA Biennial Conference was held at VISM Group of Studies, Gwalior on 5TH, 6TH &7TH OCTOBER 2023. Index Nursing College enthusiastically participated in the conference. Several other colleges also participated in this prestigious event.Index Nursing College SNA unit received substantial support from notable figures Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoriya, Chairman of the Index Group of Institutions, under the guidance of Dr. (Prof.) Smriti G. Solomon, Principal, Index Nursing College. The organizational aspects of the conference were meticulously managed by a team of experienced professionals. Dr. S.K.S. Rathore took on the role of Organizing Patron, ensuring the seamless execution of the event. Smt. Saroj Rathore, in her capacity as Organizing Patron, contributed to the overall success of the conference. Dr. Pragya Singh, serving as the Organizing Co-patron, played a vital role in coordinating various aspects of the event. Dr. Neeraj K Bansal, in his role as the Conference Chairperson, provided leadership and direction to the organizing committee. Prof. Raksha Kulshrestha, the Organizing Secretary, ensured the logistical and administrative aspects of the conference were well-coordinated. Students from Index Nursing College were accompanied by dedicated faculty members who contributed significantly to the college's representation at the conference. Mr. Nitin Chicholkar, Assistant Professor, Department of Mental Health Nursing, provided expertise and guidance in his role. Miss Neha Chouhan and Miss Pooja, Nursing Tutors, played essential supportive roles in ensuring the students' participation and success. The 30th MP State SNA Biennial Conference, spanning three eventful days from October 5 to October 7, 2023, boasted a comprehensive schedule filled with engaging activities and enlightening moments. The first day commenced with an uplifting invocation song and the ceremonial lamp lighting. Dr. Neeraj Bansal, Conference Chairperson, extended a warm welcome address to the participants. Distinguished speakers, including Prof. Dr. Jaya Bijoy SNA State President MP TNAI and Mrs. S. Vatchala Dhinakaran, shed light on the significance of TNAI and SNAI. The audience was further inspired by a motivational speech from Dr. Jessy Philip, the State SNA Advisor, M.P.-TNAI. Special Guests, Dr. S.K.S. Rathore and Mrs. Swapna S. Joshi, added their insights, followed by a compelling speech by Chief Guest Dr. Jogendra Sharma. The day included the presentation of mementos and the release of the souvenir, with Prof. Raksha Kulshreshtha expressing gratitude in the Vote of Thanks, culminating in high tea. The competition held on the first day were extempore & mono acting, pencil sketch, essay competition, personality contest (Mr. SNA & Ms. SNA), sports competitions, quiz competition, floor decoration, spot painting, SNA Unit report presentation, and an enthralling talent night (Cultural Event). Notable achievements were celebrated, such as Mr. Prabhu Rudrashish Mohanty victory in extempore & mono acting, Ashika Singh artistic talent in pencil sketch, Ashish Vector's participation in the Essay competition, and the representation of the college by Mr. Tanishq Agrawat and Ms. Supriya Sarkar in the personality contest.

Day 2 commenced with roll-call and purse money collection, and an overview of SNA elections. The day witnessed an array of competitions, a keynote address by Dr. Sunita Lawrence. The sports arena witnessed Naveen Kumar impressive 3rd prize in badminton, while Aishwariya Rai secured the 2nd prize. Various students participated in running competitions and the disc throw. The quiz competition challenged the intellect of participants, and Monika Goyal creative flair was acknowledged with a prize for floor decoration. Harshita Kuril artistic prowess was highlighted in spot painting. The SNA unit report was meticulously presented by Mr. Nitin Chicholkar, Assistant Professor in the department of Mental Health Nursing. Finally the talent night showcased the diverse cultural talents of students including Ishika Sarswal, Ishika Yadav, Saloni Chouhan, Vaishnavi Ingle, Aachal Kadola, Priyanka Rani, Priya Sharma, and Harshita Kuril, providing an artistic and cultural flourish to the conference.

The final day of the conference, October 7, 2023, began with the traditional invocation song and lamp lighting. The state SNA Vice-President delivered a welcome address. The conference report was presented, followed by speeches from Dr. Jaya Bijoy and other distinguished guests. The newly elected SNA executives were felicitated, and a memorable certificates and prize distribution ceremony celebrated participants' achievements. The State SNA secretary conveyed a heartfelt vote of thanks. The day concluded with the process of filling out National SNA Competition Forms, followed by a well-deserved lunch.

The XXX MP State SNA Biennial Conference was a remarkable event that provided nursing students with a platform to develop their skills, showcase their talents, and foster a spirit of unity and cooperation. It was an opportunity for students to learn, compete, and excel in various fields, from academics to sports and the arts. The conference concluded with a certificate and prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the achievements of the participants.
