Index Nursing College, a constituent unit of Malwanchal University, Indore organized Sadak Suraksha Jagrukta Abhiyan on 27/07/2023. The Sadak Surkasha Jagrukta abhiyan was organized under the support of Mr. Suresh Singh Bhadoria, Chairman, Index Group of Institutes and with the guidance of Dr.(Prof.) Smriti G Solomon, Principal,Index Nursing College The Organizing Secretary was Dr. Jitendra Chicholkar, Associate Professor Child health Nursing department. The program were from 10:00 AM to 01:00PM at Gram Khudel. NSS wing took participation in “Road Safety Jagrukta Kary kram” which was conducted by Index Nursing College Around 64 NSS students of Index Nursing College participated in this Manav Shrakhla. Our volunteers Making Manav shrakhla at Gram Khudel Main Road busstand volunteers carried awareness boards to create awareness among people. Faculties also participated in that event to help NSS volunteers. Some charts and banners were also designed by the volunteers relevant to Sadak Surakha Jagrukta Kary Kram. These posters were hung there to raise awareness in the people about the needs of importance of sadak suraksha. The program was concluded with thanks giving by Mr. Nitin Chicholkar Asst. Professor, Index nursing College.

The Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) was organized under the support of Mr. Suresh Singh Bhadoria, Chairman, Index Group of Institutes and with the guidance of Dr.(Prof.) Smriti G Solomon, Principal,Index Nursing College The Organizing Secretary was Dr. Prabhanshu Vyas Professor Community health Nursing department. The Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was established by the Central government in 2014. The main aim of this event is to pay homage to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for his remarkable efforts in integrating India by bringing all princely states together after Independence. In 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the celebrations of the first Rashtriya Ekta Diwas with the ‘Run for Unity’ programme in Delhi. The program was organized for one day at index nursing college campus garden on 31 October 2023 9.00 Am to 9.30 Am. In this occasion NSS Volunteers take oath “I solemnly pledge that I dedicate myself to preserving the unity, integrity, and security of the nation and also strive hard to spread this message among my fellow countrymen.” at B.Sc. Nursing 2nd Year class room on Unity in this 50 NSS Volunteers and 02 faculties of index Nursing College participated in this program.
On November 7th, 2023, the Department of Mental Health Nursing at Index Nursing College organized an insightful and enriching workshop on Sahaja Yoga Meditation. This workshop aimed at promoting stress management and fostering inner personality development, especially within the nursing community. Conducted under the esteemed guidance of Dr. (Prof.) Smriti G. Solomon, Principal of Index Nursing College, the event featured Dr. Sunil Jaiswal from MGM Medical College, Indore, as the chief guest.
The workshop provided an introduction to the principles and techniques of Sahaja Yoga Meditation, focusing on how meditation can help individuals achieve mental peace, balance their energy, and contribute to overall personal development. Participants, including nursing students and professionals, were guided through practical meditation sessions that helped them understand the concept of self-realization and the role of energy centers (chakras) in maintaining mental well-being.
Dr. Sunil Jaiswal delivered a comprehensive lecture on the scientific and medical benefits of meditation, particularly in managing stress and enhancing emotional well-being. His insights were supported by research findings and real-life examples, reinforcing the importance of meditation in both personal and professional settings.
The event also featured interactive discussions, where participants shared their experiences and sought clarifications. A practical demonstration of the Sahaja Yoga technique allowed participants to experience its simplicity and effectiveness firsthand. Many attendees reported feeling calmer and more relaxed after the meditation sessions, recognizing the value of these techniques for managing stress and fostering personal growth.
This workshop marked a significant step in promoting holistic mental health practices within the nursing community, emphasizing the importance of incorporating stress management techniques like Sahaja Yoga Meditation into nursing education and practice.
