On 6th March 2021 ‘PADO MALWANCHAL’ was celebrated by the students and faculties under the guidance of Dr. Prof. Smriti.G.Solomon, Principal, Index Nursing College, Indore. It is celebrated to promote basically self reading habits so as to motivate students to develop a better future and building up a better education system in the campus. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Prof. Smriti.G.Solomon, Principal. Speech was given by the students regarding importance of education and techniques to develop self reading skills for the betterment of study. In the speech it was stated that student without education is building without foundation. The programme was ended with a vote of thanks by Prof. Mrs Aline Upadhyay, HOD & Professor Index Nursing College.
Index Nursing College, affiliated to Malwanchal University organized “Lamp lighting and Oath taking ceremony” of B.Sc. Nursing and GNM students of Index Nursing College on 13th February 2021 and the Chief Guest was Dr. Ram Ghulam Razdan, Pro-vice Chancellor, Malwanchal University, Indore and Dr. G. S. Patel, Dean, Index Medical College Hospital and Research Center, Indore, M.P was guest of honor. The Lamp lighting and Oath taking ceremony was conducted with the support of Mr. Suresh Singh Bhadoria, Chairman, Index and Amaltas Group of Institutes and under the guidance and motivation of Dr. (Prof.) Smriti G. Solomon, Principal, Index Nursing College.
The ceremony was started at 2:00 pm with the introduction speech by Dr. Payal Sharma, HOD and Profesor of Index Nursing College. The ceremony was started with saraswati vandana dance performed by Ms. Shivani Shinde followed by deep prajawalan by all the dignitaries. Dr. Reena Thakur, Prof. Index Nursing College gave welcome address. Dr. Anu V Kumar, Professor, Index Nursing College told about “Significance of Lamp Lighting”.
Our Principal Dr. Prof. S.G. Solomon undertook the lamp lighting ceremony and oath taking ceremony with Prof. Naveen Jaiswal, Prof. Ankush Patrick, Mr. Prabhanshu Vyas, Mr.Jitendra Chicholkar, Ms.Shivani Bhadouria, Ms.Anjali Sisodiya, Ms Dolly Sanwer and Ms.Shreya Khatekar. Principal Madam recited oath and students followed. On focusing on the academic and extracurricular achievements of our institute, Dr. Prof. S.G. Solomon, Principal Index Nursing College gave Presidential address. Our Chief Guest Dr. Ramgulam Razdan, Pro-Vice Chancellor Malwanchal University, congratulated, encouraged and motivated our budding nurse with his knowledge and insight.
Prof. Ankush Patrick and Prof. Bidyani Devi, Index Nursing College acknowledged the efforts of student’s efforts in curricular and extracurricular activities by awarding all the winners by medals, trophies and certificates from guest dignitaries. The event was ended with the Vote of thanks expressed Dr. Anu V Kumar, Professor, Index Nursing College. Lastly all stood for National Anthem.
Index Nursing College, affiliated to Malwanchal University organized a workshop on “World cancer day on theme “I am a nurse and I will make a difference”” on 4th February 2021 and the Chief Guest was Dr. G. S. Patel, Dean, Index Medical College Hospital and Research Center, Indore, M.P and guest of honor was Dr. Ram Ghulam Razdan, Pro-vice Chancellor, Malwanchal University, Indore. The seminar was conducted with the support of Mr. Suresh Singh Bhadoria, Chairman, Index and Amaltas Group of Institutes and under the guidance and motivation of Dr. (Prof.) Smriti G. Solomon, Principal, Index Nursing College.
The workshop was aimed to provide students awareness regarding cancer management, palliative care, psychosocial and emotional side effects of cancer and its management, cancer prevention and myths and misconception of cancer. The workshop was stated with lamp lighting followed by informative sessions. First session was taken by Dr. G. S. Patel, Dean, Index Medical College Hospital and Research Center about management of cancer. Second session was taken by Dr. Ram Ghulam Razdan, Pro-vice Chancellor, Malwanchal University about palliative care in cancer. Third session was taken by Dr.(Prof.) Smriti G. Solomon, Principal, Index Nursing College regarding psychosocial and emotional side effect of cancer and its management. Forth session was taken by Dr. Anu V Kumar, HOD, OBG Department on prevention and risk reduction of cancer and last session was taken by Dr. Reena Thakur, MSN Department regarding myths and misconceptions of cancer with 80 participants. The workshop was ended at 2:00pm with prize distribution and vote of thanks given by Mrs. Dolly Sanwer, Tutor, Index Nursing College. Workshop was successfully completed with support of all teaching and non-teaching faculties.
