World Cancer Day

Index Nursing College, affiliated to Malwanchal University celebrated the World cancer day on theme “Close the Care gape” on 4th February 2022. The Programme was conducted at Bawaliya Gram and Index Medical College hospital and research centre with the support of Mr. Suresh Singh Bhadoriya , Chairman, Index and Amaltas Group of institutes and under the guidance and motivation of Dr.(Prof.) Smriti G. Solomon, Principal, Index Nursing College. The department of Medical Surgical Nursing celebrated “World cancer day on theme “Close the Care gap” on 4th February 2022. The programme was aimed to spread awareness regarding cancer causes, prevention, screening, warning sings, early detection and its management .The programme was started with lamp lighting. The Program was Blessed by Dr. Smriti G. Solomon , principal , Index Nursing College, Mr. Mukesh Choudhary, Sarpanch ,Gram Bawaliya Khurd and Mr.Shubham Choudhary , young leader , Dr. Reena Thakur , Professor,Dr. Payal Sharma , Professor Prof. Ankush Patrick , Mr. Jitendra Chicholkar , Asst. Professor, Mr. Nitin Chicholkar, Lecturer and Ms. Twinkle parik, Tutor. B. Sc nursing and GNM Nursing students prepared the posters on early detection of cancer, screening of cancer, healthy life style and management of cancer and presented in community area. Followed by poster presentation role play was performed by the student to create awareness among rural community peoples regarding cancer causes and early detection of cancer by screening and management of cancer. The Programme was further extended to Index Medical college hospital and research center OPD premises . Poster Presentation and role Play performed there to create awareness regarding cancer causes and prevention among patients and attenders attending OPDs. The programme was great success with the efforts of Faculty involved, students of B.Sc. Nursing and GNM Nursing and all the community people. The programme was concluded with thanks giving by Mr.Vikas Kumar , Bsc. Nursing 3rd year.

Basant Panchami

05th February, 2022

Index nursing college , Indore witnessed a very colourful and vibrant Basant Panchami ceebration on 5th February , 2022. Under the guidence of Dr. (Prof.) Smriti G. Solomon, Principal, Index nursing college, the programe was organised by faculties and students. It started at 12:00 pm and commenced with the lamp lighting ceremony of “ Goddess Saraswati” by principal mam and faculties . After lighting the lamp , prayer of “ Goddess Saraswati “ was sung by Ms. Vaishnavi Angel , B.Sc Nursing 2nd yr.

All students also offered prayer to the idol of Godess Saraswati which was decorated in the stilt area. The event co ordinators , Dr. Anu V. Kumar and Mr. Nitin Chicholkar offer prayers and prasad to the idol and addresed all.



Tree Plantation Day & Birthday Celebration of Honourable Chairman

Index Nursing College organized Tree Plantation program [ANKUR YOJNA] under the Aazadi ka Amrit Mohatsav started by Madhya Pradesh government on 05/08/2022 with the blessings of Mr. Suresh Singh Bhadoria, Chairman, Index Group of Institutions. Under the guidance of Dr. Prof. Smriti G Solomon, Principal, Index Nursing College. The Madhya Pradesh government has announcexd the launch of ‘Ankur’, a scheme under which citizens will be awarded for planting trees during monsoon. People who take the initiative to plant saplings will be given the Pranvayu Award for their participation. To encourage tree plantation among the people of the state. Under the scheme of the government which wants to inculcate the spirit of tree plantation in the people so that future natural calamities can be reduced. In view of environmental problems, Ankur Yojana was started by Madhya Pradesh Government Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan on 22th May 2021. Under this scheme, 1 mega tree plantation campaign is being started. Along with setting up oxygen plants in the state, a plan to plant trees has also been started, as trees provide natural oxygen.

The program aimed to plant trees in the institute and all around as well. Programme coordinator guided students on how to sow seeds and plants. Faculties also participated in that event to help students. At first, we started to implant seedings along the ground in front of Index Nursing College and then along all sides of the main ground of institute. After that, the students planted in the local areas nearby our Institution. Some charts and banners were also designed by the students relevant to tree plantation. These posters were hung there to raise awareness in the people about the needs of tree plantations. The programme was concluded with thanks giving by Dr. Prof. Smriti G Solomon, Principal, Index Nursing College.
