Index Nursing College undertaken awareness program on “Unlock With Precautions” i.e. COVID-19 appropriate behavior in the new normal on 14th and 15th October 2020, organized by Student Nurses Association unit and faculty members under the guidance of Dr. (Prof.) Smriti G. Solomon, Principal, Index Nursing College, Indore, (M.P.)
Dr. (Prof.) Smriti G. Solomon, Principal, Index Nursing College, Indore (M.P.) initiated the awareness program by delivering speech on the importance of following appropriate behaviour in the new normal in today’s global crisis of COVID-19 pandemic and taken pledge along with faculty, staff and students. Posters with the theme “Unlock with Precautions” were displayed at prominent locations like OPD’s of Index Medical College Hospital and Research Center, public gathering places etc. and provided education to the public about the prevention of COVID-19 pandemic with the help of demonstration and A.V aids. The awareness program was terminated by Th. Bidyani Devi, Asso. Prof. Index Nursing College, emphasizing on the key messages of Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and vote of thanks to the public.
Index Nursing College celebrated Teacher’s Day on 5th September 2020 and it was organized by Student Nurses Association unit and faculty members under the guidance of Dr. (Prof.) Smriti G. Solomon, Principal, Index Nursing College, Indore, (M.P.). The Chief Guest was Mrs. Usha William, a retired teacher, Government College of Nursing, Indore, (M.P.), who gave her 40 years of life in teaching and serving mankind. Madam was honored for her indelible and consistent services in providing high standards in nursing profession.
A live International Webinar was organized by Child Health Nursing Dept. of Index Nursing College, Indore (M.P.) India on the theme “SUPPORT BREASTFEEDING FOR A HEALTHIER PLANET” on 4th August 2020. The International speaker for the webinar was Mrs. Harshita Prabhakaran, Dept. of Maternal & Child Health, Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat. The event was successfully completed with 240 International and National delegates altogether.
