SEMINAR ON INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST DRUG ABUSE AND ILLICIT TRAFFICKING ON THE THEME “SHARE FACTS ON DRUGS: SAVE LIVES”

Index Nursing College, affiliated to Malwanchal University organized a seminar on “International day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking” on 26th June 2021and the Chief Guest was Mr. Suresh Singh Bhadoria, Chairman, Index and Amaltas Institute of Medical Sciences. The program was organized by Dr. Prof. Payal Sharma, HOD & Professor, Mental Health Nursing department under the guidance and motivation of Dr. (Prof.) Smriti G. Solomon, Principal, Index Nursing College. The theme for the seminar was “Share Facts on Drugs: Save Lives”. The seminar aimed to provide students awareness regarding drug abuse and illicit trafficking. The seminar was started with lamp lighting followed by welcome speech given by Mr. Tanishq Agrawat, B.Sc Nursing 1st year Student. Sessions were taken by Dr. (Prof.) Smriti G. Solomon & Dr.Prof.Payal Sharma. Skit, poster and poetry competitions were organized and prizes were distributed to the winners by the chief guest. Memento was presented to the Chief Guest by Prof. Dr. Mrs. Smriti G Solomon, Principal. At last vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Ashish Victor, B.Sc Nursing 1st year Student.

WORLD HEALTH DAY ON THE THEME “TO BUILD A FAIRER, HEALTHIER WORLD”

Index Nursing College organized and celebrated World Health Day on 7th April 2021 on the theme “To build fairer, healthier world” under the guidance of Dr. (Prof.) Smriti G. Solomon, Principal, Index Nursing College, Indore M.P. World Health Organization (WHO) came into force on 7th April 1948 ad came into existence in 1950. The preamble of WHO clearly suggested that the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of health is one of the fundamental rights of every human being without discrimination of race, religion, political, economic or social condition. As stated by WHO, the objective of the World Health Day celebration is to sensitize, prioritize and focus on important aspects of public health.

Mr. Ashish Victor, B.Sc. Nursing I year student lead the celebration and Mr. Pravu Rudrashish Mohanty, B.Sc. Nursing I year student disclosed the theme. He shares the meaning and importance of the theme and mentioned that it is time to make it a fairer world and explained the importance of right to access healthcare by ensuring all people and communities to have equal access to quality health services where and when they need them, about the awareness of health, affordable and acceptable health care. Ms. Meenakshi, B.Sc. Nursing I year student mentioned about the changes in health during this pandemic and also discussed about the lessons we have learnt and to be followed in future. Six students participated in debate on the topic “Fair vaccination Or Prioritized vaccination”. At the end Ms. Shreya, B.Sc. Nursing I year student proposed the vote of thanks and end up the celebration with the quote of Mahatma Gandhi “Health is the main wealth not pieces of silver and gold”.



AZADI KI AMRIT MAHOTSAV

05th April, 2021

On 05th April 2021 Azadi Ki Amrit Mahotsav was organized by the students and faculties of Index Nursing College under the guidance of Dr. Prof. S.G. Solomon, Principal, Index Nursing College, Indore. It was celebrated in the occasion of 75th year of Independence Day. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Prof Smriti G. Solomon, Principal. Certain programs like skit and speech were performed by students. The program was organized by Dr. Prof. Anu V. Kumar.
